Pengfei Wei is currently an Associate Professor of School of Mechanics, Civil Engineering and Architecture at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU) in Xi’an, China, and also currently a Humboldt Research Fellow of Institute for Risk and Reliability at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH), Germany. He obtained his Ph.D on aircraft design from the School of Aeronautics of NWPU, in 2015. His research interest is in developing innovative mathematical models and numerical computational methods for treating uncertainty quantification as well as risk and reliability analysis of civil and mechanical engineering systems. As first and/or corresponding author, he has published more than 25 articles on highly-reputed international journals, and one book chapter.
